This year for the first time as part of the VAST European project we have participated at the LREC conference. LREC 2022, the 13th edition of LREC, took place at the Palais du Pharo in Marseille (France) on June 20-25, 2022. Together with Alexandros Fotios Ntogramatzis, Anna Gradou and Georgios Petasis from National Centre for Scientific Research (N.C.S.R.) “Demokritos”, Marko Kokol has presented The Ellogon Web Annotation Tool: Annotating Moral Values and Arguments. All conference materials can be accessed here: http://www.lrec-conf.org/proceedings/lrec2022/index.html. In total, nearly 1800 participants registered to LREC 2022. Most participants, accounting for 70%, attended the Main Conference, the workshops, and the tutorials in Marseille. The majority of them came from European countries, academic institutions principally, while 1/3 came from America (USA, Canada) and Asia (Japan, India, Korea). The LREC Conference is ELRA’s biennial flagship event, organized since 1998 with the support of institutions and organizations involved in Human Language Technologies (HLT). Bringing together an increasing large number of participants working and interested in HLT, it has become a major event in the field of language engineering, and constitutes a milestone in the life of HLT.
